Restaurant "Breeze"

Restaurant Breeze is a seafood and Mediterranean restaurant in the Old Town of Nessebar, Bulgaria, at Tsar Ivan Asen II Street 25. It sits on the first line of the historic peninsula, inside the UNESCO-listed Ancient City of Nessebar, with a terrace looking out over the Black Sea. The kitchen is built around the Black Sea catch. Whole fish is grilled to order — turbot, sea bass, sea bream, red mullet, black sea scad, small bluefish and thornback ray — and the fish platter brings five of them to a single table. Alongside it: mussels in shell in wine sauce, calamari Greek style, octopus in butter, garlic butter prawns, tiger shrimps, paella with seafood, and tarama, the whipped roe spread traditional to this coast. Bulgarian and Greek cooking sits beside the fish — sach on a hot iron pan, grand mixed grill, shopska and house salad — with a list of Bulgarian rakia and aniseed spirits. Open daily, 10:30 to 22:30. A few minutes on foot from the Church of Christ Pantocrator, the Old Windmill and the Old Town harbour.
